Showpane Cloud

Showpane Cloud is the hosted publish target for portals created in the local workspace.

What it includes today

  • One hosted workspace subdomain at orgslug.showpane.com for your organization
  • Hosted publishing from /portal-deploy without manually managing provider projects or SSL
  • Workspace dashboard for billing, organization details, readiness, and hosted status
  • Engagement signals for portal visits, section time, file downloads, and recent activity across hosted portals

What it does not replace

You still create and edit portals in the local workspace. Showpane Cloud does not replace the CLI workflow.

Pricing

$29/month, flat. Unlimited portals, unlimited clients. Includes a 7-day free trial. Billing starts through the hosted checkout flow.

How publish works

The normal path is local first, then hosted publish.

1. Create and preview locally

Open your local workspace in Claude, then run the first-portal wizard:

showpane claude
/portal-onboard

The wizard covers draft creation, local preview, and the handoff to Showpane Cloud when you are ready to publish.

2. Authenticate the CLI

Link your local Showpane install to your Cloud account with device auth:

showpane login

If you do not have the global command in your shell yet, npx showpane login works too. This browser flow handles sign-in, trial checkout, and workspace linking.

3. Publish the hosted version

Once the portal looks right locally, run the publish step in Claude:

/portal-deploy

Showpane builds the portal locally, uploads the hosted artifact, and waits for the publish to go live.

4. Optional: generate a hosted share link

If you want a direct hosted access URL after publish, generate one for a specific portal:

/portal-share <slug>

Share links are a hosted convenience after publish. They depend on the portal's current credential version, so rotating credentials revokes older links automatically.

Web dashboard

Visit app.showpane.com when the CLI sends you there for billing, provisioning, or workspace settings.
